Return And Warranty Policy

We build products to last and keep gifting simple. Below are our policies for manufacturing defects and how we handle exchanges and returns across belts, wallets, cash covers, and specialty goods.

Warranty – Manufacturing Defects

Two ways we cover you:

  • Defect on Arrival: If something is wrong when you open the box, report it within 72 hours of delivery. We’ll repair or replace at no cost and provide a prepaid label when applicable.
  • Manufacturing Defects: If a defect appears during normal use within 90 days from delivery, contact us promptly. After review, we’ll repair or replace at no cost.

What’s covered: Glue separation, stitch failure, faulty or broken hardware, or structural flaws affecting function.

Not covered: Normal wear and patina, color bleed or fading, damage from sun, water, chemicals, misuse, or incorrect sizing.

Variances in Exotic Skins & Color

Premium leathers and exotic skins are inherently unique. Dye absorption, scale pattern, texture, and finish will vary. Screens also render color differently.

  • Natural variation is expected and is not considered a defect.
  • If your item seems materially different than expected, email orders@jhleathers.com for an atelier review.
Belts – Returns & Exchanges

Belt returns and exchanges depend on sizing, customization, and condition.

  • Return window: Returns on new purchases must be initiated within 14 business days of delivery.
  • Condition: Items must be unused, unworn, and in original condition.
  • Restocking: Belts are subject to a length-based restocking fee: 25% for 36″ and larger; 50% for 35″ and shorter.
  • Incorrect sizing: Custom builds are subject to a 25–50% restocking fee if sizing is incorrect.
  • Cut-at-home errors: Belts cut incorrectly by the customer are not returnable.
Sizing matters: Measure from the inside edge of the buckle to the hole you use most. Do not use pant size.
Wallets, Cash Covers & Card Cases

Wallets, cash covers, and card cases may be returned if unused and in original condition.

  • Return window: Returns must be initiated within 14 business days of delivery.
  • Condition: Items must be unused, unworn, and in original condition.
  • Restocking: Approved returns may be subject to a 25% restocking fee.
  • Personalized items: Monogrammed or personalized items are final sale unless defective.
Limited Editions & Specialty Goods

From time to time, we release limited runs of specialty products, including wallets, valuables pouches, shoe bags, and yardage books.

  • Defects: Covered by our standard warranty — repair or replace at no cost.
  • Returns: Unless noted at purchase, specialty goods follow the applicable belt or small goods policy.
Return Window: All returns on new purchases must be initiated within 14 business days of delivery.
