Product & Stock
What if my product has a defect?
If your product has a potential manufacturing defect, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery. The item must be unworn to qualify for a return or replacement.
To initiate a return or replacement, email us at orders@jhleathers.com. Jacob Hill will issue a return label for the defective product. Once we inspect and confirm the defect, we will process a replacement order for you.
What if I ordered the wrong size?
Jacob Hill is not responsible for incorrect belt size orders. Please refer to our Belt Sizing Guide to assure correct sizing. If you need to exchange for the correct size, there is a 50% restocking fee. For assistance with sizing or any related questions, please email Craig at Craig@jhleathers.com.
Returns and Exchanges For Non Custom Orders
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you are not, we will gladly accept any return that we determine meets all three of the following criteria:
1: The item cannot be a custom order. Custom Orders consist of any product that requires a size when ordered.
2: The item must have been purchased within the previous thirty (30) days
3: The item must be unworn and in new, perfectly sellable condition
4: The item must still have its original tags and buckle-covering bag, etc.
If the return is accepted, we will issue you a full refund or facilitate an exchange — whichever you prefer. To initiate a return/exchange please email orders@jhleathers.com
How do I measure my belt?
Measure the belt from the point where the strap loops over the metal bar of the buckle to the middle hole near the other end of the strap. For more information, please consult our Sizing Guide.
When will my order arrive?
Each piece is made to order and crafted by hand according to your exact specifications. Fulfillment of some orders may take several weeks.
When your order is shipped, we will send you an email that includes a tracking number.
Do finished product colors match the website swatches and sample belts?
Leather is a natural material, and each hide responds slightly differently to the tanning process. The color swatches on this website have been selected for their accuracy, but the colors of finished products may vary slightly.

What is the difference between nubuck leather belt lining & saddle leather belt lining?
Nubuck leather lining has a semi-suede texture and is light tan in color. Saddle leather lining has a smooth texture and a rich, dark brown coloring.
Do you make custom belt sizes?
Yes, we do! If you would like to order a smaller, larger, or odd-sized belt, please contact orders@jhleathers.com so one of our representatives can assist you.
Do you offer International Shipping?
We will currently only ship cow or bison related leather products internationally. All exotics will only be shipped domestically due to CITES limitations currently making exports cost prohibitive. This may change in the future.
Please email orders@jhleathers.com to inquire about international shipping.
What is CITES?
CITES stands for the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Flora and Fauna. This convention was first established in the 1960’s as an international agreement among governments that ensure that the international trade of exotic skins is ethical and does not threaten the animal’s survival or sustainability for the future. These programs have brought several species back from the brink of near extinction, provided jobs in rural communities around the world and given locals the ability to control and protect the habitats in which they reside. While some may disagree with the use of some of these species for food consumption and/or products such as fashion items, in most cases these species are now far more ethically treated than they were prior to CITES regulations having been implemented. The companies that utilize the products derived from these animals have been the driving force behind more and more robust ethical requirements in raising these species and nurturing a growing habitat.
